Rolling Stock Project Manager

SNC-Lavalin has specialists working on rolling stock, asset maintenance, specialist engineering solutions, infrastructure, rail control systems and strategic transport advisory services and we are seeking to compliment the group with an Rolling Stock Project Manager in our Engineering, Design and Project Management (EDPM) business.

As a Senior or Principal Consultant in our Project Management team you will be accountable for leading the delivery of exceptional project management services and for supporting strong client relationships within the Rail and Transport industry.

You will need to be confident directing, driving and problem solving for a variety of rail and rolling stock projects. We would like you to be keen to take on new challenges, be enthusiastic and have proven experience.

Responsibilities

  • The delivery of assignments in the rail project management space in Sydney, with a focus on rolling stock and rail systems
  • Leading the development of bids and tenders in response to identified market opportunities in Sydney in conjunction with the Team Lead Project Management and the Client Services Manager for Sydney
  • Providing the wider business technical expertise in area of specialism/experience, be that project delivery, rolling stock, rail systems etc
  • Providing technical and specialist engineering guidance and expertise on rolling stock and/or light rail
  • Develop strong client relationships and contribute to the development of the Project Management team
  • Contribute to the company’s Innovation program.
  • Support the professional development of less experienced consultants.

Skills and Experience

  • 8 years + of working in railway project delivery
  • Engineering Degree (mechanical, electrical), Project Management
  • Experience working in a consulting environment advantageous
  • Knowledge of rail market and clients in Sydney (through previous employment or first-hand experience)
  • Experience managing stakeholders during project delivery, both internal and external to the project
