The Infrastructure Engineering structural team is looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer to support our many exciting transportation projects. Our major projects include highway and LRT bridges in BC, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and other regions in Canada. The successful candidate is expected to lead a bridge design team to deliver full detailed design of highway or LRT bridges to our internal and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Bridge and structural design
- Organize design and drawing production
- Deliver all engineering responsibilities to achieve project objectives within the specified schedules, man-hour estimates and budgets
- Develop preliminary design
- Prepare detailed design calculations and layouts
- Ensure all design and completed work conforms to contract specifications and SNC Lavalin’s quality standards
- Coordinate with other disciplines on project tasks
- Guide, train and direct junior staffs
- Conducting site visits and inspections
Requirements
- 10+ years of bridge / structural design experience
- Bachelor or Masters of Engineering Degree or Bachelor or Masters in Applied Science Degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
- Eligible for professional licensing with APEGBC
- Good computer modeling/analysis skills, proficient in structural software such as CSI Bridge, MIDAS, etc.
- MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
