The team comprises Transport Planners, Bridge Engineers, Highways Engineers, CAD Technicians, Drainage Engineers and Virtual Reality specialists.

After all, we canât achieve great things without our staff so you can look forward to an excellent rewards package and career development.You will be part of a established transport modelling team developing and applying computer-based transport models (comprising highway and public transport / transit models) using state-of-the-art transport modelling software supported by Geographic Information Systems (GIS ) tools.
You will be part of a team responsible for the technical development of transport modelling projects comprising:

Provide technical leadership on strategic modelling projects

Mentoring staff and develop team capabilities
-
Development and checking of models and model forecasts, reports and analyses including quality and delivery to timescales

Lead and manage projects independently
-
Commercial knowledge â provide cost and time estimates
-
Apply Atkins Quality, Safety & Environmental (QSE) standards and Business Management System (BMS)
You will also be responsible for reporting progress and output quality, as well as developing business improvement initiatives with your line manager.
Essential Requirements:

Appropriate academic and professional qualifications (preferably Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with Masterâs Degree in transport planning / engineering)

Experience in the development and application of computer-based traffic / transport models using software like SATURN, EMME, VISUM, CUBE Voyager, PARAMICS
-
Project Management experience of transport modelling and scheme appraisal studies including managing project teams at distance and client engagement.

Working experience with WebTAG and DMRB

Enthusiasm to further develop transport modelling skills
Desirable Requirements:

Chartered membership of relevant organisation like CILT, ICE, CIHT, etc.

Experience of programming capabilities including Visual Basic for Applications for use with computer based transport models

Work experience in a similar off-shoring environment

Experience in report writing related to transport studies

Experience in the use of MS Office and in the application of GIS Techniques to Transport Planning
