Atkins are currently looking for an experienced Sr. Contracts Manager to join our team in Qatar. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting, high profile project in Saudi Arabia.

Requirements

  • Degree Qualified and preferably chartered.

  • Minimum of 15 years post qualification experience.

  • 3 years experience working in a similar role in Qatar.

  • Ability to relate and interact successfully with a multi-cultural workforce at all levels is essential

  • Must have outstanding communication skills in written and spoken English and be capable of representing the company on commercial issues with the client.

  • Must be familiar with FIDIC forms of contracts

  • High degree of accuracy required

  • Must be able to work both independently with a proactive approach and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Should be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

  • Must be based in Qatar with NOC and MMUP/UPDA registration.


Responsibilities

  • The Contracts Manager will report to the Commercial Manager and will be responsible for managing a team of professionals at various discipline levels, delivering the contract administration services.

  • Liaising with the Contract/Client and Project Management team.

  • Responsible for submission of ATKINS deliverables on time and in accordance with ATKINS Quality standards.

  • Ensuring that each Senior Contracts Administrator runs his section to the highest professional standards, that all information is current, and that every member of the team is receiving the information he needs to fulfil their responsibilities.

  • Maintaining consistent and adequate procedures.

  • Coordinating and managing individual Senior Contract Administrators

  • Analyze information and produce overall reporting and recommendations for their sections of the works.

  • Prepare and present monthly project expenditure to the Contractor.

  • Prepare progress payment tools for the management and monitoring of the above mentioned registers. Monitor progress both on and off site. Identify deviations in both construction and procurement progress and suggest possible courses of corrective action

  • Working closely with the ‘Project team’ to ensure that the contractor’s contracts administration programmes and reporting is feasible, complies with the clients contractual obligations.
