How will you contribute to the team?
To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Review and enhance existing high-volume online transaction processing systems using .NET and SQL Server, with significant experience in designing the persistence layer.
- Conduct data modelling, SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimization for performance.
- Manage database migration planning and validation.
- Ensure effective integration of software across products, platforms, and environments.
- Analyse existing applications to determine where problems occur and develop possible solutions
- Create documentation of designs and solutions.
- Maintain data integrity and security in applications.
- Debug production issues and resolve them quickly with permanent fixes.
- Maintain a stable and accurate Applications production instance that meets customer needs in line with compliance and audit policies.
- Business acumen (Engineering & Construction Industry an asset), strong technical background
- Communication skills, good listener, and customer focus.
- Working with IT outsourcing partners, analytical mind, and Solution oriented would be required.
What will you contribute?
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree (preferred) in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Expertise in understanding, analysing, designing, and developing solutions for complex business needs.
- Strong understanding of SQL Server including transaction processing, stored procedure, and user defined function development
- 5+ years design and development experience of .NET / C#.
- Experience using and consuming Web APIs from both C# and JS.
- Experience in building high performance, highly scalable and fault-tolerant systems.
- Experience with Payroll and timesheet systems is a plus.
- Fluency in tools and techniques for analysing and benchmarking performance of the database as a component of a complex enterprise software system.
- Experience with application servers (IIS, Apache Tomcat or WebLogic).
- Responsive, positive attitude with ability to thrive in a high-performance work group.
- Strong time-management organizational skills, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills would be required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- User experience, knowing how a user interface helps the user to successfully complete a task, also known as usability.
- Information Technology curiosity, to take responsibility and ownership of staying up to date with industry leading IT standards and practices.
