Want to be part of one of the largest transportation consultancies in the UK?  We are running a very successful, growing Strategic Partner Highways Design & Engineering services framework, delivering to Hampshire County Council and working closely with the client, based in Winchester.

The contract covers a wide range of services and brings together colleagues from across the organisation, both in the UK and from our Global Design Centre.  You would be responsible for general highway scheme design and oversight of the maintenance work to ensure both workstreams continue to flourish.

You would be based in Winchester, but with some travel to other Atkins locations within the region to ensure you can deliver value for our Client.

Key responsibilities

• Working with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and deliver technical project solutions on time and to budget.
• Act as a Technical Reviewer on projects and oversee completion of designs and the production and review of design documentation.
• Preparation and presentation of options and progress reports.
• Maintaining and developing excellent client relationships.
• Preparing fee offers for agreement by the client.
• Managing stakeholders to maintain and develop excellent professional relationships which can secure repeat business.

  Key requirements

• BEng, MEng or MSc Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• IEng or CEng with a relevant professional institution or nearing CEng status with same.
• Drainage design experience, including working knowledge of Sewers for Adoption.
• Robust knowledge and experience in the development and delivery of civil engineering and highway related projects.
• Experience of financial and budgetary processes.
• Extensive experience of working with local authorities, as consultant or client.
