We are looking for Permanent Way / Track Design to join our team. This role will be based at our Atkins office in Mumbai, India.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Technical

• Technical competence in detailed Railway geometry design using Bentley Rail Track, Civil 3D.
• Proficient in Software tools, AutoCAD, Microstation, ClearRoute, Trimble Business centre.
• Competent to check the work of more junior team members. 
• Good knowledge of the requirements for Railway geometry design and an understanding of how these influence the BRT.
• Draft technical Reports and Contractual documents, of acceptable technical and presentational quality with some guidance.
• Evaluate tender documents with some guidance.
• Experience in preparing project cost estimates.
• Offer new ideas to improve solutions and processes.
• Receive on the job technical training through performing tasks with some supervision. 
• Able to independently deliver work and integrate with larger project team.
• Analyses problems assigned under guidance.

Project Management

• Good knowledge of work procedures and ensure work adheres to procedures.
• Responsible for completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost.
• Developing knowledge of the commercial aspects of project management.
• Able to work as reliable and pro-active member of the team, able to apply knowledge gained.
• Able to assign work to Graduates, Technicians and Administrative staff.
• Refer to Senior Consultant on matters of major development importance and on matters relating to resourcing, departmental costs and expenses.
• Report on own performance on a regular basis (this includes e.g., timesheets).
