Senior HR Advisor

Key Accountabilities

  • Work as part of the Europe HR team to deliver HR Services for Norway in line with the core business strategy and people priorities for the division.
  • Work with line manager to support people initiatives that build employee engagement and support retention
  • Work closely with the business on their employee requirements, including management of Employee Relation cases and projects as appropriate, restructuring, performance management and talent and succession projects
  • Provide advice and support to managers and coach, influence, challenge as necessary.
  • Work alongside the Europe Recruitment partner to support the local selection, on-boarding and induction for new joiners to the Norway business
  • Work as part of the Europe HR team HR on improvement projects and represent Norway as subject matter expert on any items
  • Champion diversity and inclusion across the region and support local diversity & inclusion objectives.
  • Deliver local support to Reward & Merit processes as required in conjunction with the Corporate reward team.
  • Work with the central global mobility team to deliver local support to assignees where required
  • Work with the Learning & Talent Development team to support local process requirements for development as well as surfacing and feeding back any specific development requirements for Norway.
  • Manage workload in a timely manner ensuring effective delivery in line with policy
  • Review key learning points from cases/projects both for the business and HR. Share learning to support changes, improvements or learning activities.
  • Ensure the management of end to end processes in line with customer needs whilst maintaining legal and compliance requirements
  • Carry out risk analysis for HR cases and projects as appropriate and escalate to the Norway Management team and Europe HR Business partner.
  • Ensure case management system is used effectively and workflow is continuously updated including any risk analysis.
  • Be up-to-date and ensure compliance with relevant Norwegian laws and regulations that are important for HR services in Atkins Norway

Requirements

  • Generalist HR experience, preferably with experience of working within a complex global organisation
  • Excellent knowledge of local employment law and its application to the organisation
  • Ability to coach, empathise and support management and employees
  • Experience of working with a HR Shared Service environment would be an advantage.
  • Good problem-solving abilities.
  • Personal credibility with strong communication skills
  • Adapts well to changing environments and procedures
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Customer focus with a drive to deliver
  • The courage to challenge or influence to allow the right decisions to be made
  • Excellent English language abilities both speaking and writing.
