Senior Manager Metro Service Delivery

We currently have an opportunity for a talented Project Manager in the Middle East for the infrastructure Business Unit to be part of the senior management team for one of our major rail O&M projects in Saudi Arabia. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and successful team to deliver the iconic green field O&M project of the Riyadh Metro.  Successful candidate will have to lead a team of senior talents to supervise the handover of the Riyadh Metro project from the construction phase to the operation and maintenance phase and, later on, during the operation phase, supervising the O&M contractors. 

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the efforts of Metro Service Delivery department in order to ensure that required tasks can be accomplished.
• Manage the interfaces/handover between the D&B Contractors and the O&M Contractors.
• Advise the client on the launch strategy of the metro.
• Shall be able to oversee all Metro pre-launch and commercial service delivery activities.
• Oversee the initial set-up and mobilization of the O&M contractors, reviewing their Operating procedures, instructions, code of conduct handbook, timetables and other operating materials in accordance with their respective contracts
• Shall be able to verify that handover it is being carried out safely and in accordance with the O&M Contract and to the Employers satisfaction
• Responsible for measuring each of the O&M Contractor’s KPI performance, must capable of
• Manage the Contracts of the O&M Contractors on behalf of the client.
• Responsible for monitoring, auditing and reporting of the KPI regime, evaluating and adjusting performance where and when required.
• Evaluate the performance of the O&M contractors.
• Develop a timeline for the completion of certain milestones for the project. 
• Communicate with the client on various topics related to the O&M of the metro.
• Ensure the quality of all the project deliverable and timely submitted to the various stakeholders.
• Train and mentor the team.

Education and Skills

• Minimum of 12-15 years’ experience in delivery of rail projects, of which at least 6 in a managerial capacity
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in large rail projects with a focus on the operations and maintenance.
• Experience in consultancy / PMC type projects.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a track record of delivering large and complex operational and service led rail transport projects.
• Must have demonstrable project management skills and the ability to oversee daily project activities as well as manage a large technical and support team.
• Should have proven skills in communication, negotiation, and be able to present at the highest level of the Employer/Government complex matters.
