SNC-Lavalin's Calgary office is seeking a Senior Project Expeditor to join their team.
How will you contribute to the team?
To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Expedite completion and delivery of materials to purchase order or contract agreements
Monitor supplier’s progression, engineering, acquisition and manufacturing and reporting status of activities
Evaluate through visual observation, the assembly, testing and shipment of materials
Coordinate with contract suppliers or sub-suppliers on required delivery dates
Evaluate and report on supplier performance and, if required, assist in selection of suppliers for inclusion in bidders’ lists
Identify problem areas and initiate or recommend corrective action through the supervisor
Obtain tracing information for required follow-up
Track material requirements for construction
Monitor resolution of over short or damage reports
Prepare material receiving reports
Issue material to contractors and prepare material issue slips
Prepare shipment authorization and track shipments
Witness shipment transfers
Initiate insurance claims
What will you contribute?
10+ experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry in an EPC environment
Solid knowledge of expediting functions and materials transport administration
Familiarity with Oil Sands projects
Exposure to projects in the $500 million + range
Background in LSTK or reimbursable contracting
Strong computer skills - MS Office Suite, including experience with project management systems
Good organizational and planning skills and detail oriented
Excellent oral and written communication skills
