Faithful+Gould are looking for Mining Expert in Al Ula, KSA 15 years of experience, including 3 years supervision experience on similar projects.

“N.B: We are currently pending award on several significant projects. Should we be awarded, this position is key role. Consequently we are keen to speak to individuals in the market place with the experience listed below for such potential future programmes of work”.

Role:

  • The Senior Project Manager (SPM) will report to the Project Director (PD) and assist the Project Director to lead the Project Management team for the Sharaan by Jean Nouvel hospitality project during the balance of the design and procurement phases and through the construction phase.

  • The SPM will be required to provide input to the senior management on project delivery related matters and be fully responsible for the successful delivery of their assigned services and/or project component, for the duration of the Services. The SPM will be required to act as the single focal point of contact between the PD and the other senior leadership roles and both internal and external delivery team members, to ensure that the desired project objectives are delivered. 

  • The SPM’s experience, guidance and knowledge should place them as a subject matter expert within the Project Management team, providing significant benefit to the team and Client.

  • The SPM will be responsible for at least the following areas and duties.

Responsibilities:

  • The SPM will have overall responsibility for the delivery of their assigned component or aspect of the Sharaan by Jean Nouvel hospitality project during the close-out of the design (Stage 4) and procurement phases as well as during the construction (Stage 5) and handover (Stage 6) phases.

  • Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.

  • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of Sharaan hospitality project’s strategic objectives.

  • Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test, and deployment management activities.

  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.

  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities across the project stakeholders.

  • Assist the PD in the preparation of a detailed project plan, the Project Management Plan, for all phases of the project under the Services.

  • Assist the PD to procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes.

  • Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings.

  • Monitor staff performance and complete performance reviews.

  • Ensure that all project KPIs, targets, directions and instructions are communicated to all relevant project stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.

  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership.

  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs.

  • Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices.

  • Manage project scope and changes within the agreed Change Management procedure.

  • Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders

  • Act as an internal quality control check for the project

  • Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution

  • Support formal/informal schedules to manage the engagement contract

  • Confirm that the Scope of Work to achieve the project objectives are understood and agreed by all relevant parties and that ‘scope gaps’ are identified and addressed with the Client and relevant parties.

  • Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor and internal stakeholder relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues

  • Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel

  • Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables

  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, briefings and presentations to the PD, and from time-to-time, various audiences, including project teams, stakeholders, CEO and key VVIP stakeholders.

  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project and program team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas

  • Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project and program life cycle

  • Identify and develop trusted adviser relationship with project and program stakeholders.

  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project and program team

  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication

  • Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards

  • Manage project and program issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline

  • Continue professional development in order to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices

  • Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Proven success in providing on site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones

  • Performance reviews and staff development

  • Monitor the performance of staff

  • Establish practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization

Technical Competencies / Qualifications / Experience:

Essential:

  • Degree qualified, preferably with a QS, engineering or architectural discipline

  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience of which 3 years as a Sr. Project Manager in a site supervision role (with a design consultancy firm or project management company).

  • Demonstrable record of taking design consultancy projects from inception through to final delivery

  • Responsible for ensuring that the commercial and financial goals and performance of their aspect of the project, are communicated, understood, and monitored, including contract administration, change management, project financial performance monitoring and project delivery to project programme.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments

  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English 

  • Ability to liaise with a wide variety of staff and Clients at all levels

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel

  • Thorough understanding of planning / scheduling

  • Be able to show Leadership skills 

  • Have excellent team building skills

  • Commercially astute with good analytical skills

  • The ability to work in a team and independently.
