Senior Quantity Surveyor

Education & Skills:

• Minimum professional qualification / degree in QS, Economics or Construction Management
• Minimum of 10 years’ Contractor experience working on site within the O&G and Power sector
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing multiple projects
• Must have extensive SMIEP experience
• Must be computer literate, specifically working with MS Office Packages

Responsibilities:

• Functional Reporting to the BU Commercial Manager
• Direct Reporting to the Project Manager
• Lead a team of Commercial Staff
• Follows and complies with Company and project procedures
• Promotes ethical behavior
• Commercial and contract administration,
• Unit rate and lumpsum contracting 
• Compilation of change orders sales and cost
• Updating of project budgets and forecasting
• Prepare consolidated monthly cost reports  
• Ensure monthly invoicing is compliant with the contract
• Ensure payments terms are adhered too
• Ensure consistent and accurate cash-flow reporting
• Ensure accurate cost vs. sales analysis
• Adopting an integrated project controls/planning approach into the execution of the projects
• Understanding of project programme, resource loading and claim management
• Prepare consolidated monthly non-recoverable cost schedules
• Ensures that all project risks (commercial, contractual and schedule) have been identified, recorded and communicated
• Ensures that project budgets are adhered too throughout the life cycle of the Project
• Ensures that all projects operate within the LLOA (Lines and Limits of Authority)
• Ensures that all projects operate in accordance with the contracted terms and conditions
• Ensures good client relations
