Senior Recruitment Coordinator

Our Chicago team is growing! The Resource Manager will work closely with the client to ensure the needs are clearly defined, all approvals are in place and then build a recruitment strategy to move forward to fill the role.  Recruitment methods will include the review of internal resources using the ATKINS TPO and the F+G resource management tool, partnering with 3rd party vendors or assigning to the corporate recruitment to source external candidates. This role is based out of our offices at Chicago, IL. The Resource Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations within the F+G Business Unit and will be the first point of contact for the client when they have a recruitment need.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Interact with senior and mid-level management to ensure overall priorities are correctly assessed, necessary approvals are in place and processes are followed.
  • Regularly attend business meetings to gain an in-depth understanding of client needs and strategies in place to meet these needs.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify resourcing needs to find out internal availability and best external method to support the business. 
  • Partner with Hiring Teams to create postings / branding messaging for social media to attract top talent for business needs.
  • Analyze and assess existing related processes and continue innovating and making improvements.
  • Build networks to source qualified candidates and track all candidates in teams projects for future needs.
  • Ensure ‘high potential’ candidates are flagged for immediate placement, or future needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all company processes including the F&G Recruitment SOP.
  • Screen resumes, manage candidate screening calls and /or interviews to determine technical and cultural fit for F+G.
  • Work closely with the assigned Corporate Recruiter to prioritize openings accurately and go to market for external candidates.
  • Review recruitment activity reports to analyze trends and effectiveness of programs and activities in maximize ROI.
  • Keep updated on SNC Lavalin corporate and recruitment policies to ensure compliance at all times – notably with agency partnerships.
  • Assess agency partnerships for quality and timing of talent. 

What will you contribute? 

  • Undergraduate degree combined with several years of HR or project management experience.
  • At least 4 years’ experience working in HR or projects in a technical consulting or engineering environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of candidate assessment and screening.
  • Ability to work across a variety of departments and sectors, experience working in a Fortune 100 Matrix business environment preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal/state laws, employment regulations and current HR issues, trends and best practices.
  • Proven experience in using social media for talent attraction.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication needed to write postings and other recruitment materials.
  • Strong advocate for diverse teams and coaching clients on the need for diverse teams.
  • Highly collaborative and a team player that can build relationships and work well with all levels within an organization.
  • Proven ability to introduce and update new processes and procedures as needed.
