Senior Structural Engineer:

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares and reviews structural engineering studies, design drawings and documents, and material and equipment specifications.
• Resolves specialty related structural engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards.
• Analyzes problems, organizes investigations and determines specific design criteria.
• Recommends increase in resources and special equipment.
• Advises and instructs team members in the use of new or specialized procedures.
• Determines and schedules work priorities.
• Revises design specifications and suggests new alternatives.

AUTHORITY/LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides technical guidance to co-workers.
• Organize and supervise work within a small work unit composed of employees within own discipline or a related area of specialization.
• Determines the training and development needs of employees. Requirements: • BS in Engineering and registered as a professional engineer with 10 years of significant experience. • Has experience in the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries and is recognized as specialist in structural engineering on large to mega projects. • Must have thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
• Approves timesheets.

Requirements:

• BS in Engineering and registered as a professional engineer with 10 years of significant experience.
