This role is an integral part of the process of the expansion our Social Value team. You will be joining a team of colleagues passionate about Social Value as a driver for creating purpose beyond profit for both F+G, our clients and the communities we work in.

The Social Value Coordinators will play a hands-on part in helping to create meaningful Social Value commitments for our projects as well as organising and carrying out activities and ensuring we capture and record the outcomes for our impact analysis. We are seeking a person that may not be able to meet the full list of requirements but more importantly can show passion and enthusiasm for wanting to make a change.

Faithful+Gould is an integrated project and programme management consultancy that help clients with the management of construction projects and programmes. We are a leading from the front in the way we support both our internal teams and our clients with addressing all aspects of social value. We have developed a lifecycle approach to ensure social value is not only optimised on every project we deliver but far more extensively than this including where we help our clients to embed an ethos of social value into their organisations.

We are looking for Social Value Coordinator:

This role is a good fit for you if:

  • You enjoy delivering social value activities including workshop facilitation and delivery to different audiences for example school students/ job seekers/ community groups.
  • You are confident and competent at recording and measuring outcomes from the activities and helping to support creating impact reports and case studies.
  • You are a natural communicator who enjoys working with a variety of people across multiple disciplines or settings and at all levels of seniority. You enjoy building relationships and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders including project teams, clients, community leaders and suppliers.
  • You have a flair for writing case studies and bid responses. You understand the benefits of great storytelling and different ways of presenting data and outcomes.
  • You have a great deal of initiative and enjoying working independently, as well as in teams.

Role Description:

  • Self-guided research into local organisations and programmes they run, engage, and identify social value deliverables where the organisation can add value to local communities’ projects.
  • Work very closely with the rest of the social value team including the Social Value Leads and Head of Social Value.
  • Engaging with stakeholders, communities, and Civil Society organisations.
  • Ensure compliance and achievement of company and project targets for Social Value.
  • Engage with our internal teams, our clients and our supply chain in the development, delivery and implementation of project specific social value plans.
  • Ensure social value is recorded and monitored using internal databases and systems.
  • Maintain social value activities tracker.
  • Produce outcome-based reports and case studies.
  • Research and Local Needs Analysis to inform our Social Value offering within bids and proposals.
  • Coordination and administration of social value activities within your region.
  • Supporting and participating in social value activities in different settings for example, schools, jobcentres, community organisations.
  • Assist the Social Value Lead with internal and external marketing and comms programmes.
  • Assist regional teams with Social Value questions within bids and client proposals.
  • Proficient in writing for different audiences and tailoring the tone.
  • Confident in presenting for different audiences.

What we are looking for:

Essential:

Experience working in a Social Impact role with-

  • Passion for the principles and values of Social Value.
  • Empathy and understanding of social challenges and why they exist.
  • Up to date on Social Value legislation and best practice.
  • Experience in planning, organising, and coordinating events.
  • Efficient organisation skills. Ability to prioritise your workload and meet multiple deadlines with multiple teams and individuals.
  • Detail orientated approach to administrative tasks and numerical proficiency.
  • Excellent IT literacy, particularly in using Microsoft packages such as Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Research experience into social issue, current affairs and macro-economic facts.

Desirable:

  • Awareness/ Experience of the National Social Value Themes Outcomes and Measurements (TOMS) or other social value calculators and able to input, run and produce social impact reports.
  • Qualification in a social or sustainable subject or significant place-based experience.
  • Experience within the Built Environment/Local Authority/community organisation or non-profit sector.
  • Previous experience of bid writing.
  • Understanding of marketing processes, storytelling, and inclusive narratives.
  • Skilled in the use of LinkedIn and the use of relevant hast-tags.

The post holder will need to be flexible in developing the role in conjunction with the line manager. The post holder may be asked to carry out any other delegated duty or task that is in line with their post, role grade or corporate requirement.
