As a Software and Digital Graduate on our prestigious 3-year programme, you will help to support and deliver the software aspects of a variety of challenging and exciting projects in the UK and internationally. We operate across a range of markets including Airports, Nuclear Power, Aerospace, Defence, Energy, Environment & Geoscience, Transportation and Water.

Whether it’s the development of facial recognition, the formal verification of nuclear power plants safety shutdown systems, you’ll help us to deliver outstanding projects that respond to the needs and resources of a contemporary world. Whatever your ambitions we’ve a role to match your passion and degree, while our training will help you achieve Chartered status and develop industry skills that are highly sought after.

Infrastructure

Locations: Bristol, Epsom (Surrey), London, Birmingham, Warrington

Degree Requirements: Expect or achieved a 2.2 Master's or MEng degree in Maths, Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, IT, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Geography, GIS, Geospatial, App Development, Information Technology & Communications, Product Development

Our Civil Engineering team creates all kinds of infrastructure systems, ranging from power supply, water and wastewater, marinas to power stations, private developments and industrial facilities. You could get involved in the design of a wide variety of water and wastewater projects, buildings and structures, tunnels, ports, dams, hydraulic systems, rail/road and nuclear infrastructure. You could even find yourself producing specialist blast or seismically classified heavy civil engineering designs.

Oil, Gas & Offshore wind

Locations: Aberdeen

Degree Requirements: Expect or achieved a 2.1 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in Computer Science or similar.

Our Software Development Team in Aberdeen works closely with our clients to develop high-quality software solutions that add real value to their operations. As a Software Engineer you will get involved in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering, design and implementation, through to testing, deployment, maintenance and support. We use a lean and agile methodology, giving you the opportunity to grow into a well-rounded developer and allowing you to have an impact on every stage of a project.

You will deliver bespoke software applications using a range of modern technologies and platforms. Our technology stack is mostly Microsoft-based: we develop software using the .NET Framework and Visual Studio, in both C# and VB.NET. We use Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and legacy WinForms for our desktop apps, ASP.NET and Angular for web development, SQL Server and Azure for data, but these can change as the technologies evolve. You will also get to develop clever macros using VBA to help our engineering teams become more efficient and save time through automation.

The team will help you continuously improve your programming skills, learn new things and keep up to date with the latest developments in the industry. You will solve logical and algorithmic problems, review them with the wider team and implement these solutions into working software features. Constantly adhering to our software engineering standards, procedures and best practices and provide suggestions for continuous improvements.

What are we looking for?

• Passion and understanding for working in a consultancy environment, with the ability to work with clients and internal stakeholders
• Drive and determination to achieve Chartered status
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with the confidence to work on your own initiative or as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to apply your technical knowledge to analyse problems and create innovative solutions
• An interest in developing digital and technology-based solutions
• A flexible approach to travel as our projects and training may take you to a variety of locations in the UK and possibly abroad
