Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary:

Will provide leadership in all mechanical engineering activities in large projects in EPC Phase.

Responsibilities:

• Design and specification of rotating equipment, including the preparation of rotating equipment (API or equivalent) data sheets and specifications
• Responsible for producing specifications, requisitions, technical bid analysis and vendor data review of all equipment
• Ensure suppliers provide equipment which is compliant with the codes and standards applicable to assigned project specifications
• Act as Lead Engineer on minor projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum 15 years’ detailed design experience
• P.E. certificate preferred
• Minimum 10 years’ of experience as rotating equipment Subject Matter Expert required
• Strong knowledge and experience as Rotating Equipment Specialist for refining and Polyethylene plants required
• Petrochemical, Polyethylene or related experience and US Gulf Coast project experience required
• Working knowledge on rotating equipment such as pumps (centrifugal, positive displacement, screw, metering, and multi-stage), centrifugal, axial and reciprocating compressors, fans, and blowers required
• Familiar with codes and standards of ASME, API and ANSI
