The Engineering, Design and Project Management division is currently looking for a Junior Civil / Structural Engineer for its National Capital Region office. We are looking for innovative, forward-thinking people who enjoy challenge and actively seek to develop and improve work processes. Education in Civil Engineering with a structures specialization and a general civil engineering background is desirable.
How will you contribute to the team?
- Design of civil and municipal infrastructure associated with transportation sector structures (Bridges, culverts, retaining systems, C/A and inspection, wall systems, earth systems etc.)
- Perform structural analysis, general arrangement drawings, including analysis through Finite Element Analysis software (S-Frame, STAAD, SAP) systems applicable
- Preparation of preliminary, general arrangement and detailed design drawings
- Preparation of contract language and special provisions, cost estimates, and tender documents for above works
- General municipal/civil engineering design, inspection and land development engineering.
What will you contribute?
- University degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
- Current Engineer -in-Training status or having eligibility of registration
- Minimum 1 years of experience in: preliminary and detailed engineering design, contract specifications and special provisions, and tender documents
- Structural design experience using current software
- Field experience (either construction or inspection)
- CHBCD, municipal and provincial structural standards.
- Driver’s License
- OSIM Certification and inspection beneficial
- Hands-on experience with CAD
- Bilingualism (French and English, written and spoken) an asset.
