Systems Engineering Graduate Scheme (2020)
As a Graduate Systems Engineer on our prestigious 3-year programme, you will help to support and deliver the technical aspects of a variety of engineering and multidisciplinary designs across a range of challenging and exciting projects in the UK and internationally. We operate across a range of markets including Cities & Development, Aerospace, Defence, Security, Energy, Environment & Geoscience, Transportation and Water.

Aerospace, Defence, Security & Technology (ADS&T)
Locations: Bristol, Aldershot
Degree Requirements: Achieved or predicted 2:1 or above (Masters or Bachelors) in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Control & Systems Engineering, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Engineering Mathematics, Mechatronics & Robotics, General Engineering.
As a Systems Engineer within ADS&T you will be able to work with teams across mission critical industries, contributing to the security and resilience of the nation, and exploiting advanced technology to help clients to meet, and embrace these exciting times. This role will see you learn to become a future business leader as part of one of our teams working closely with our clients to first understand their business needs and ensuring they articulate and then correctly capture their needs as robust requirements. Once these needs are captured, you will be analysing requirements and developing ways that they can be successfully validated and tested. A core part of the role will be developing Systems Engineering Architectures within Model based Systems Engineering software tools, to optimise the effectiveness of the solution. Within all of this, innovation is at the forefront of everything we do, so all the while you will be constantly challenging the status quo, whilst thinking of novel ways of working and new opportunities.
As a member of the Systems Engineering practice you will have the opportunity to contribute to projects in the following domain areas; UK Defence Equipment and Infrastructure Programmes, Cyber Security, Digital Transformation Programmes, Aerospace. These projects will see you working with Principal clients such as UK Government Departments & Agencies, Airbus, BAE SYSTEMS, Cobham, Babcock and other major UK and international companies.
Transportation (Systems and Safety)
Locations: Birmingham, Derby
Degree Requirements: Expect or achieved a bachelor’s 2.1 or above, or masters 2.2 or above degree in Assurance engineering, Systems Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Maths, Physics, Chemistry.
As a Systems Engineer within Transportation you will get the opportunity to work on the most prestigious, innovative and demanding construction projects within the transportation sector. From Crossrail to HS2, to managing the M25 and construction of a new motorway around Newport to ease congestion and on to London’s Heathrow Airport and the London Underground network.
Working as a Graduate Engineer, your role will cover a broad range of systems engineering tasks across the full project lifecycle including scoping, safety, design and development of the rail infrastructure delivering a holistic system engineering approach. Other aspects of your role may include conceptual studies affecting the future of transportation.
We work in the UK and internationally to manage projects, carry out technical feasibility studies and integrate projects for our clients. Understanding projects from multiple stakeholder points of view, we find the best solutions to the complex challenges. Working flexibly in teams, we support each other to develop and deliver, and take opportunities for socialising together too.

• Drive and determination to achieve Chartered status
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with the confidence to work on your own initiative or as part of a multidisciplinary team

• An interest in developing digital and technology-based solutions
• A flexible approach to travel as our projects and training may take you to a variety of locations in the UK and possibly abroad
