Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Gainesville, FL North Florida Group as a Technical Aide.

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

Under close supervision, performs a variety of routine technical tasks to assist technicians, engineers, planners, architects, surveyors or scientists working in transportation, development, environmental, land surveying or other technical services of the company.

JOB DUTIES

Gathers, logs and summarizes field notes or other data to be used by technicians or professionals in technical studies or projects; may prepare a preliminary analysis or interpretation of such data for supervisor's review.
Establishes and maintains records or files of technical data or documents
Performs mathematical calculations.
Assists in the preparation of graphic displays and presentation materials
Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary
Assists in communication coordination with field staff.
This position is embedded.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma (or equivalent) plus two years related experience OR Associates Degree in a related technical field is required.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Math skills and drafting/CAD ability are generally required.
