About the Opportunity

We are pleased to be working with our clients to safely deliver operational support of Telecommunications Systems across multiple oil & gas facilities. Several Telecommunications Project Engineer positions are available to assist in a wide range of brownfield projects.

You will have at least 10 years demonstrable engineering experience with a minimum of 5 years in the oil & gas industry. Your background will cover the full system lifecycle management from concept to design through to installation and commissioning along with supporting the maintenance function and project management.

The roles are Perth based in our client’s CBD office with occasional travel required.  Minimum expected duration is 12 months with considerable extension potential.

Responsibilities

• Detailed system design, implementation and coordination of multiple brownfield system upgrades, modifications and new installations  e.g.;
  - Design and installation of new TETRA base station
  - Offshore radar remediation
  - CCTV system upgrades
  - Access control (Lenel) system upgrades and migration
  - Remediation of firewall rules and network configuration across multiple facilities
• Factory Acceptance Testing and System commissioning
• Vendor engagement and project coordination
• Development Maintenance and support processes and documentation

Education and Skills

• Bachelor of Engineering – relevant discipline
• Excellent written communication skills
• Project Management skills would be advantageous

Clearly demonstrated experience in at least two of the following:

• TETRA Radio
• Security Access Control and CCTV
• Meteorological and PAGA
• Navigation RADAR
• Network Engineering with Security (firewall) skills
