Job Description Summary

We are looking for a Translator to provide technical and legal translation for a major project in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

  • Study source text to understand the meaning and convert it into Arabic/English to convey the original meaning, spirit and feeling
  • Translating documentation, exchange letters and reports from English to Arabic and vice-versa
  • Ensure consistency of translation within documents and help efficiency
  • Proofreading and editing final translated versions
  • Consult with subject matter experts and other colleagues in order to understand specialised concepts and translate them appropriately
  • Adheres to industry quality standards to ensure that all completed work follows legal and ethical obligations
     

Requirements

  • Previous experience of at least 3 - 4 years
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Professional proficiency in English is a must
  • Discretion and honesty as core values
  • Strong willed and professional conduct
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good time management skills

Technical Competencies

Essential

  • Preferably diploma qualified
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office software
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Arabic

Desirable

  • Previous experience in consultancy / construction firm advantageous

  • Excellent inter-personal & communication skills
  • Conduct themselves professionally at all times and work seamlessly with one’s colleagues
  • Good time management skills
  • Able to act on own initiative and operate in a proactive way
