We cover all aspects of multidisciplinary design and management from inception to options appraisal through to detailed scheme design and delivery support. The Candidates
We have an exciting range of opportunities across disciplines and levels of experience. Successful applicants will be flexible, self-motivated and will be expected to demonstrate the following:
- Excellent communication with strong report writing capability.
- Strong analytical, numeracy and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and proven success in meeting deadlines.
- Confident team worker with ability to work independently.
- Experience of working to time and budget constraints.
Candidates will be expected to demonstrate technical skills and competencies commensurate with their level of experience and role, such as:
- Development and application of Strategic Models using tools such as SATURN, EMME/2, CUBE and VISUM etc.
- Development and application of Micro simulation modelling techniques using tools such as VISSIM and PARAMICS etc.
- Variable demand modelling.
- Programming capabilities including PYTHON etc.
- Use and application of GIS Techniques to transport modelling outputs and analysis.
- Work winning, and other business development activities, including the writing of bid submissions and fee proposals.
- In addition, and in recognition of the increasingly common nature of 3D design and advancing gaming technologies such as real-time rendering and virtual reality, our public realm design team have developed Virtual Street Design (VSD) – a design approach that aims to integrate design and visualization processes built on the Unreal Engine. This is therefore an exciting opportunity for candidates who also have experience in game engine programming alongside their core modelling and data analytical competencies to support the growth of this platform.
Successful candidates will have:
- A range of relevant technical skills and competencies suitable for the role.
- A relevant planning, economics, geography, mathematics, engineering degree or similar.
- A passion for transportation.
- Ideally, membership of a relevant professional institute.
