SNC-Lavalin is seeking a Transportation Planning Analyst to develop our Intelligent Transport Solutions product line and support Rail & Mass Transit operations planning and assessment within our Rail & Transit Strategic Services team, based in Toronto.
Responsibilities
- Quantitative and analytically-driven transport performance appraisal and improvement
- Rail network simulation
- Capacity analysis
- Rail operational and infrastructure planning
- Service plan, schedule, and staff rostering development
- Signalling concept design (including conventional, ETCS, and CBTC) optimization
- Involvement in supporting development of ITS product strategy and assist in itnernal and external partnership development and research and development projects with Ontario based universities
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in transportation engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Science, with a Civil engineering background preferred
- Highly proficient in Excel
- Have existing knowledge of, and strong interest in the emerging ITS market
- Experience in data interpretation, manipulation, and visualization
- Willingness to periodically work inter-province
- Presentation and networking skills, with previous experience desirable
