Atkins, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, has launched Recite Me across our careers site. This innovative digital tool enables our users to customize their web journey and make it work best for them. It also helps us widen our pool of candidates as part of our inclusive approach to employment.
Uncovering hidden talent
We're known for our diversity of thought and the great work that comes from this. So, we're constantly looking for people who experience the world and its problems differently. In the UK, about half of people with disabilities are in employment (53.2%), compared with just over four out of five non-disabled people (81.8%)*. This represents an abundance of overlooked talent, and Recite Me is helping us to take down barriers to our online accessibility.
How Recite Me works
Recite me is an easy-to-use toolbar that allows Atkins' candidates to use the internet the way it was intended. It is designed to support people who may be neurodivergent, visually impaired, or who don't speak English as a first language. This award-winning software includes text to speech functionality, fully customizable styling features, reading aids and a translation option with over 100 languages, including 35 text-to-speech voices and many other features
With Atkins talent knows no bounds.

Recite Me goes to the very heart of our values. It's helping us build a diverse, inclusive environment where we respect, understand and value different people – starting with how we recruit them.
