I am an apprentice recruitment specialist – recruiting for all areas of the business
Tell us a little bit about your background?
I’ve worked in a recruitment capacity for over 10 years now, ranging from agency, RPO’s and in-house. I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of industries and with people from various backgrounds. I believe recruitment has evolved over the years in a positive way and I’ve seen the positive impact this has had on both candidates and employers which, in turn has led to not only ensuring the right person is presented to the business’s needs but to ensure the right business is presented to the candidate’s needs.
What is the best thing about your job?
One of the highlights of my role is having the opportunity to meet with young people that not only show their passion to work with Atkins but have an innate interest about the environment and the future of it.
Why do you love working at Atkins?
Having worked here for nearly 2 years now I can truly say that I thoroughly enjoy being a part of the Early Careers Team. I'm passionate about our environment and what we at Atkins do in regard to sustainability of the environment. My focus is apprenticeships and working to bring our future generation on board via the apprentice route is value added to our future within Engineering and I'm proud to be a part of it!
What makes a good day at work?
Giving the right candidates the right opportunity / assisting our next generation in moving forward / the impact of some projects that Atkins are a part of and knowing of the positive impact they will have on the environment.
What would you say to someone thinking of joining Atkins?
Opportunities, flexibility, getting a chance to work for a company that is making a positive impact on the environment and it’s sustainability on a global level.
