What is your role at SNC-Lavalin – what areas do you recruit for?
I am specifically responsible for the attraction and selection of experienced hire roles across our Transportation sector in UK & Europe. Major areas of recruiting for me would be in Signalling and Communication Systems, Construction and Highways Engineering. Alongside this, I also do a lot of market research to update myself constantly on business intelligence and expanding my reach on social media for talent attraction and branding of the company.
Tell us a little bit about your background?
A dual MBA in Human Resources and Marketing, I have over 10 years of experience in corporate, agency and international recruiting. I have worked with diverse companies like HR Consulting, Asset Management, IT and now Engineering, Design & Project Management. I joined Atkins in June’17 as a Lead and have been managing the challenging business of transportation with a great learning curve.
What is the best thing about your job?
The best thing would be talking to people with diverse skillsets, learning more about Atkins and their multiple projects and the impact that they make in the lives of so many people. Building relationships and connecting talent with the opportunity to work at Atkins.
Why do you love working at SNC-Lavalin?
I love the work culture, and everyone is so supportive and approachable. Every member of the team comes with their own area of expertise and contributes immensely in team projects.
What makes a good day at work?
A good day at work would be when I get the opportunity to inspire someone in my team and motivate them to be and do better. Also, candidate experience is the heart of Atkins recruitment, so I take pride when candidates join our company with a great story to tell about us and refer their friends as well in the process.
