I’m the Recruitment Partner for Nuclear & Power and Oil & Gas (Engineering & Consulting)
Tell us a little bit about your background?
I have 20 years in-house recruitment experience delivering into a number of industries including Energy, Transportation and Customer Services.
What is the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is working with recruiting managers and business leaders who genuinely care about recruitment as much as I do. They value the importance and want to do the right thing, even if it’s not the easiest.
Why do you love working at Atkins?
I get to work with people all over the UK as well as globally. This challenges me to think truly inclusively about everything I do.
What makes a good day at work?
When someone says thank you at the end of a day and that feeling of making a difference.
What would you say to someone thinking of joining Atkins?
Even though you’re working for a global market leading organisation, you’re still treated as an individual and empowered with trust to do your job.
Our strengths lie in our differences. We want to be a sector leader when it comes to inclusivity. And in celebration of National Inclusion Week, we got the Atkineers together to share ideas, experiences and views on what inclusion means every day.
Atkins has been a partner to DONG Energy since 2013 helping to transform the offshore wind industry through standardisation of design and cost reduction.
We are helping to enable a production line approach to fabrication, rather than a bespoke solution each time, driving down the whole life costs to DONG Energy whilst maintaining the highest safety
Last month, 70 graduates, apprentices and placement (GAP) students from nine different offices across the UK gathered for a weekend of fun. They all headed to the Peak District, with the YHA Castleton being the GAP base for the weekend.
