Your role

Being a part of the Geospatial team could see you providing a range of services covering the full lifecycle of location-based information from data acquisition, processing and spatial analysis to information and data management. Our drive is to deliver innovative, quality solutions to our clients enabling them to use data to make well informed decisions in a user friendly and intuitive environment. Our success lies in our integration across the Atkins businesses, and our hunger to push geospatial solutions ever forward.

Where you could work

Aerospace, Defence, Security & Technology (ADS&T)

Degree Requirements: Minimum 2.1 Bachelors or above in; GIS, Geospatial, Geography, Earth Sciences

As one of our Geospatial Graduates, you'll play a key role in using spatial technology to provide a leap forward for a wide range of clients, enabling them to not only meet but embrace these exciting times. Working with leading names, you will help to transform the future of large infrastructure, energy, the environment, travel, and our living and working environments.
 
The team are passionate about the application of geospatial technology to real world problems, applying GIS across a broad range of disciplines from large, nationally important rail projects to human scale projects where metres are as important as miles. You could be working on projects in your home town, or delivering global projects thanks to our strong track record of work in Africa, Asia, and EMEA. As part of the Geospatial Team you will be encouraged to seek out new ways of working, or even taking the lead on a new piece of technology, as part of our research and development portfolio for clients or our own internal software development.
 
You will get to work on projects from the moment you join, and immediately benefitting from technical training provided for platforms such as FME. Being a GIS Graduate is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to contribute to multiple disciplines and throughout all parts of a project’s life cycle.
 
You could be involved in:
• Full digital strategy provision for key UK bodies
• 3D visualisation of new cross-country pipeline routes
• Modelling a city’s journey to net-zero carbon
• Working with our software developers to create a brand new spatial user portal.
