How will you contribute to the team?
- Communicate effectively with clients and meet deadlines
- Facilitate and orchestrate technical discussions with client, engineering disciplines and vendors to provide solutions for variety of technical issues
- Provide technical choices, propose optimizations to reduce cost and lead times as called by the project
- Organized and able to work without direction
- Self-motivated to contribute, learn and grow.
- Sound understanding of piping engineering activities including pipe stress and piping materials for projects in mining, sulfuric acid, hydro, and energy sectors.
- Perform and check piping static and dynamic stress analysis calculations
- Prepare piping stress design criteria, pipe support specifications
- Prepare datasheets for spring supports, expansion joints etc.
- Coordinate between the piping team and other disciplines as the design evolves
- Conversant with piping engineering and design tools such as Caesar II, Nozzle pro, Navisworks,
- Ensure that quality of engineering work is carried out in accordance with project procedures and maintain technical documentation
- Participate in resolution of piping issues during project lifecycle, including planning phase, design, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning
What will you contribute?
- 7+ years of relevant experience on mining, sulfuric acid , hydro, and energy sectors., preferably with small to mid-sized EPC companies
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation with PEO or Eligible
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong oral and written English communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently or in a group environment
- Proficiency in piping engineering and design tools such as Caesar II, Nozzle Pro
- Working knowledge of design tools , Navisworks, Smartplant 3D, Plant3D etc.
