Job Description

The need for exceptional Process Engineering is growing to align with the demand to supply responsibly sourced critical minerals and support the development of domestic and global value chains for the green and digital economy. We are looking for a top performer Process Engineer to add to our talented Mining and Metallurgy team to be part of the sustainable movement. The Process Engineer will provide tailored process solutions across all phases of project development and operational support with opportunities to advance towards their career aspirations.

How will you Contribute to the Team?

To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Adheres to, and supports company HSE, Quality Management System, Ethics and Integrity policies and procedures while being a leader through collaboration and innovation.
  • Lead the development of flowsheets, piping and instrumentation diagrams, mass and energy balances, process design criteria, technology package trade-offs and selections, and optimization of process designs using the latest technology in industry.
  • Strong multitasking abilities to manage the multiple process activities at a time, across all phases of a project lifecycle.
  • Support other engineers, process specialists and project managers on each of the phases of a project.
  • Ensures a spirit of cooperation with colleagues across the different offices, globally.
  • Supports clients at sites, consulting on modernization and improvements of processes.
  • Will use strong analytical and logical thinking to help find process solutions. Participate in plant reviews, optimizations, and debottlenecking studies.  
  • Effectively communicate project development through preparation of technical reports.

What experience are we looking for?

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering or similar, from a recognized university.
  • Eligible for P.Eng status in any Canadian province.
  • 5+ years relevant experience in the mining and metals industry.
  • Operational experience considered a strong asset for this position
  • Growth mindset. Enjoys technical challenges while working in a collaborative team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to articulate process issues and recommendations on a study report.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office-related software applications, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Skills with software such as MetSim, JKSim, HYSYS, PIPE-FLO, etc. will be well regarded.
