How will you contribute to the team?
Within the Rail & Transit Engineering division of SNC-Lavalin, Safety & System Assurance provides services in the fields of risk and safety. Our expertise spans the full scope of transit systems, including communications, revenue vehicles, traction power, train control systems, tunnel ventilation, and the facilities associated (stations and maintenance facilities). The Safety & System Assurance team located in Toronto, ON is looking for a Safety & System Assurance Intern to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects.
To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Assess safety and create risk assessments, conduct hazard analysis, and manage hazard logs.
Support systems engineering processes and activities such as Verification & Validation.
Interact with design technical leads and learn how the entire railway works as a complete system.
What will you contribute?
Bachelor's degree in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering in progress.
Excellent skills with MS Office suite, knowledge of database
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Soft skills include enthusiasm for complex multidisciplinary rail projects, enjoy problem solving and finding solutions that meet the requirements of multiple stakeholders.
