How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Assist in determining reporting requirements – audience, content & frequency.
  • Ensuring consistent and accurate reports are created for various stakeholders.
  • Coordination of contributors of all report content, to ensure their deliverables deadlines are adhered to.
  • Consolidation of content from a variety of sources / formats and software.
  • Standardising reporting content in terms of visuals, nomenclature, language tone/tense, ‘one voice’ etc.
  • Sense check content to ensure consistency across all reports distributed within same period.
  • Review prior reporting content to avoid contradictions of information.
  • Regular liaise with the project team to validate messaging.
  • Supports Project team and Project Management Office Director in all reporting and management.
  • Liaise closely with the project management team for day-to-day reporting tasks and requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate the development and preparation of weekly and monthly (and other as required) progress reports & dashboards, including but not limited to Board Reports, executive summary reports, councillor reports etc.
  • Identify bottleneck areas and alerting management.
  • Assist in the development of weekly snap shots and other reporting content as required by the Green Line.
  • Developing the appropriate templates and processes to deliver reports.
  • Be a team Leader to ensure all deliverables are submitted in a timely fashion.
  • Review and sign off on all deliverables prior to submission to owner & client direction or updated information client.

What will you contribute?

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Technical Writer / Proposal writer or similar position. 
  • Experienced in Government / Public sector work environment, preferred 

  • Knowledge of Government / Public sector reporting needs (language/content/tine/ etc), preferred

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure / rail projects preferred to be able to challenge and sense check content 

  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Proficient in use of electronic Document/Data Management Systems such as Procore, InEight, or Aconex.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Detail oriented and skilled in setting priorities.
  • Ability to learn fast, maintain quality and efficiency, apply acquired knowledge and train others.
  • Ability to help coworkers in a professional and concerned manner.
  • Excellent analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills; oral and written communication skills.
