Our Project & Programme Services team is proud to deliver economic growth through our delivery excellence, connecting our communities and putting more opportunities within reach of millions of people for work, business and leisure.

We work on a wide variety of exciting projects; from major infrastructure projects across the globe (for example the world’s tallest hotel in Dubai, a giant petrochemical plant and London’s Heathrow Airport), to programmes in the UK at the heart of our communities. We work across various sectors including rail, highways, aviation, water and environment, manufacturing, defence and energy.

Heading

Our building surveyors manage a number of projects at any one time, most likely all falling within a different sector from a local primary school extension, to a medieval fortress, to a prison building to a recording studio – pretty much anything property related across the public and private sector.

We are industry recognised providers of building surveying services and will support you through your APC and beyond. Our services include party wall, dilapidations, technical due diligence, surveys, landlord and tenant relations and compliance. Our scope is not limited, nor is our potential.

As a building surveyor you need to enjoy being out of the office. The nature of our projects and the work we do is hands on, you will likely be liaising directly with the client and project team as well as members of the public on a fairly frequent basis. This gives you variety and the best possible training.

Join the team that project manages some of our world's largest, most complex programmes and construction projects. You'll have the chance to plan and deliver on both large and niche projects, from managing an eco-friendly build like the Cambridge Mosque, to restoring a major art centre, such as Edinburgh's Collective, we'll trust you to own your projects while supporting you to develop your skills and confidence.

On our prestigious 2-year programme you’ll help to support and deliver a variety of services across a range of challenging and exciting projects in the UK and internationally. We operate across a range of markets including transportation, infrastructure, energy, defence, education, central and local government, commercial property and heritage. Our core suite of digital platforms and tools underpin our service delivery model and our cutting-edge independent advice and support enables our clients to turn bold ideas into reality and deliver their most important projects and programmes.

You’ll be an integral part of our established team and work on a multitude of projects, learning from some of the best professionals in the world. (We’ll consider sponsoring your MSc on a day release basis if you don’t have a degree in a relevant subject.

Our cost and change management systems actively control cost at all project stages to deliver ‘no surprise’ financial conclusions. We provide a range of cost services, tailored to meet the requirements of each client, including cost control, tender documentation and risk and value management.

You’ll join us as a Quantity Surveyor and will help provide expert advice to our clients on construction costs. Our Quantity Surveyors work with a diverse client base on a wide variety of schemes. You’ll join highly motivated, knowledgeable and dynamic teams that will ensure that you receive the right training and development opportunities required to achieve your professional goals.

Transportation:

Our industry leading Quantity Surveying Transportation team, enables you to work on some of the most prestigious and technically challenging Civil Engineering projects in the UK, influencing the way we live and shape the Built Environment. From high speed rail to smart motorway schemes, we deliver solutions to keep the world moving. Our highly regarded team has a significant client base across multiple sectors, working for clients such as HS2, TfL, Network Rail, Highways England, EDF Energy, Thames Water and Heathrow Airport to name just a few. Our leading clients you may be working with are in Railway, Local Authority, Highways, or Aviation sectors.

Commercial Property:

As a member of our property team, you will enjoy exposure to a wide variety of schemes in all sectors, including new university campuses, office towers, commercial office developments, refurbishment of listed buildings, large residential scheme, theme parks, the list is endless! 

You will learn to guide design teams, ensuring projects are designed within our clients’ budget and you will work with contractors, on site, managing and controlling construction costs for our clients. You will learn to be confident, a good communicator, problem solving and will develop your mathematical ability and business acumen.

How property and real estate are economically and sustainably managed are critical success factors for most organisations. The Strategic Asset Management (SAM) cover Asset Management, Facilities Management, Life Cycle Coating and Sustainability. We strive to optimise our clients’ property strategies by aligning it to their business goals. We will review what property is needed and how it is used, serviced and maintained over its lifetime.

We are a technical consultancy within the facilities and asset management sector of the built environment. We work with our clients, nationally and globally, to help them plan for the future and deliver the change.

Our team delivers project and programme management consultancy across the world; our cutting-edge independent advice and guidance enables our clients to turn bold ideas into reality and deliver their most important projects and programmes.

Our highly regarded Project Controls team has a significant client base across multiple sectors, including clients such as Network Rail, Highways England, TfL Thames Water, EDF Energy, Yorkshire Water, AstraZeneca and Gatwick Airport to name just a few. As such you could work on large prestigious infrastructure projects or focus on public building projects ranging from primary school extensions to a medieval fortresses!. We'll trust you to own your projects while supporting you to develop your skills and confidence.

The team combine enthusiasm and passion with technical expertise to manage and control projects and schemes from concept through to design to commissioning. You’ll be involved in all facets including cost management, schedule management, risk management and change management. You’ll be working directly with clients as part of multidisciplinary project teams spending time in the office and at the client’s office or the client’s site. 

The choice of rotating around disciplines is available throughout your career to maximise your personal fulfillment.

Planning Management:

With an unwavering commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency, we are well positioned to add value to project goals by developing integrated plans, monitoring progress and influencing mitigation of project delays. We use cutting edge software such as Primavera, BIM and PowerBi to help communicate planning information based on data, to the project team.

Cost management:

You will add value in some of the country’s largest programmes of work. With budgets in the billions, the role of cost management is highly recognised and aids clients in meeting their targets. This is done by understanding forecast of works, understanding data and producing reports and dashboards to support information to Stakeholders. 

Risk Management:

You’ll work with an array of stakeholders and project teams to deliver risk management strategies to inform decision making for major projects and programmes. The role of risk management involves the facilitation of risk reviews with project teams to identify, assess and mitigate risks to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, whilst meeting their budget, quality and performance requirements.

As a Graduate in the Programme Management and Programme Advisory team, you'll provide independent advice and guidance to help our clients design and deliver complex programmes of work. We provide both Programme Management Office and Programme Advisory services, giving you the opportunity to rotate around disciplines throughout your Programme.

By the end of the graduate scheme, you’ll be a fully-fledged consultant, with experience in managing programmes from start to finish as well as designing, developing and implementing complex solutions for our clients.

We’ll provide you with support and training to enable you to drive your career forward and learn to become a world class programme management consultant. Our two-year flexible graduate scheme promises to give you the support you need to develop your technical, commercial and consultancy skills, which you’ll develop through a mixture of client and internal projects, development and training activities.
