Director, Project Management

Your role within the team:
Project Oversight and Support
- Accountable for the performance of projects, in terms of financial, governance, oversight
- Track KPIs for projects and/or project managers, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Work with PMs to identify and manage project risks, working with the Risk Manager, and proactively identify and mitigate potential issues.
- Ensure effective project management methodologies are implemented.
- Assists PMs in development of specific action or mitigation plans in response to project challenges.
Talent Management and Development
- Responsible for hiring, retention and retrenchment of project managers according to the needs of the business.
- Functional management for all project managers, including oversight of their performance and career progression.
- Develop and deploy functional training for project managers.
- Assist study managers to gain experience to grow into project managers for larger mandates.
Governance
- Contribute to the continued development and implementation of the Global M&M policies and procedures.
- Verify that projects are developing and maintaining key documents, including the project instruction manual (PIM), project execution manual (PEP) when required, deliverables list, etc.
- Develop and lead a Project Manager Certification Board, along with the Senior Director of Operations and select senior staff to oversee the certification of project managers before they manage projects. Will be responsible for structuring and executing on the board.
Quality Assurance
- Reviews all customer satisfaction surveys and addresses any areas for concern, working with senior leadership.
- Reviews all non-compliance notices or other quality concerns and works with the Senior Director of Operations and other Functional Directors to address issues.
- Strategic Priorities
- Drives the use of global delivery centers and other margin-enhancing priorities.
Client Management
- Act as sponsor for critical projects
- Work to develop new clients with the support of the business development function.
- Contribute to the development of proposals, including performing reviews when needed.

The ideal candidate:
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in project management in the A/E space
- University degree in engineering
- Self-motivated and results oriented with a strong client focus and the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
- Proven ability to build relationships with clients and peers.
- Demonstrated experience in a selling, marketing and business development environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills a must, with superior interpersonal and relationship skills
- Willing to travel for short periods of time.
Expected compensation for this role is (between Pay Range 180K-210K). Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
