Working in close collaboration with project design engineering, the RAMS Analyst will be responsible for performing the tasks related to the implementation of a RAMS. program on large-scale projects, in a public transport and rail context. The RAMS analyst defines and proposes the means, analyses and reports required to the good execution of the mandates in his field of expertise, in particular the development of plans as well as reliability, maintainability, and safety analyses.

This role will be based in Burnaby, BC.

Your role within the team:

  • Provide expertise in RAMS for infrastructure, signaling and rolling stock elements within public and rail transportation.
  • Develop reliability and safety assurance plans, according to the project requirements.
  • Coordinate the inputs of the engineering teams needed to complete the RAMS studies.
  • Conduct reliability studies, including reliability block diagrams on complex systems.
  • Conduct maintainability studies, including MTTR calculations.
  • Carry out safety studies, including but not limited to: Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SSHA), Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
  • Establishment and management of the Hazard Log for the project, including demonstration of hazard closure with proper evidences

The ideal candidate:

  • Between 2 to 10 years of experience in any of the RAMS aspects, more specifically in public transport and railways
  • Knowledge of current industry standards in relation to the RAMS scope of practice.
  • Member of the EGBC is not mandatory but is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all project stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with particular attention to detail and commitment to budget and timelines.

Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $76,000 - $104,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
