Objectives
- Supporting Project Managers and Engineering Managers to successfully deliver our projects
- Facilitate the effective integration and co-ordination of our multi-disciplinary across Norway, Denmark, Sweden, the UK and our Global Design Centre in India
- Utilise the latest BIM, CAD, GIS and EDMS systems across functions and geographies
- Engage with our internal professional networks across Atkins and SNC-Lavalin to draw upon lessons learnt and ensure we utilise all of our existing capabilities
- Undertake quality reviews of deliverables in line with company requirements
- Contribute to recruitment activities as we grow a self-sustaining delivery team in Norway
- Support to senior staff in co-ordination of tenders and projects for clients
Requirements
- Relevant education from College or University to Masters level
- Approximately 2-5 years experience, ideally within railway, metro or tram projects
- A good working knowledge of CAD / BIM / GIS / EDMS systems and tools to support project delivery – ideally across disciplines based in multiple offices
- A high level of familiarity with Norwegian technical standards, specifications, guidelines and ideally some knowledge of the specific requirements of railway, metro or tram projects
- Demonstrable evidence of contributing to and supporting tenders
- A highly collaborative individual with great communication skills and a willingness to work across geographically and organisationally separate delivery teams
- Performance driven and customer focussed
- A desire to drive the industry into the digital future
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a wide range of infrastructure projects with support from teams based across Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the UK and India
- Contribute to the management and leadership of multi-disciplinary project tenders
- Preparation of reports such as project delivery plans, feasibility studies, method statements, specifications and approval documents
- Focus upon technical best practice, knowledge sharing, and process optimisation
- Win work through maximising additional / repeat / follow-on work from clients
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in all aspects of our business
- Compliance to corporate governance and management systems
