This role will be based in Mississauga, ON.

Your role within the Team:

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company procedures and policies.
• Lead, supervise and participate in assembly, testing and maintenance of CANDU Field Services tooling & equipment.
• Work coordination for teams of technologists & technicians, with responsibility for status reports, permits & pre-jobs / post-jobs.
• Contribution to technical content & updates to project procedures or documents such as engineered drawings, work instructions, route sheets, test plans & test reports
• Travel to site, both domestically and internationally, to perform reactor inspection & maintenance work for both short- and long-term deployments.
• Train, mentor, coach & guide junior personnel on best practices, HU behaviors & CORE 4 and company values.
• Engage customers on technical matters related to their field, including but not limited to drawings, procedures, work progression on the floor/site (ie: assembly, test, etc.).
• Develop technical solutions as required to support the work at Sheridan Park including component procurement, item modification & process changes.
• Be a nuclear energy worker (NEW).

The Ideal Candidate:

• Diploma of Collegial studies in mechanical engineering technology, certificate of qualification from College of Trades and Apprenticeship or relevant technical experience.
• Over 10+ years working experience in the nuclear industry preferred.
• Analytical problem-solving skills.
• Computer skills - Microsoft Word / Excel etc.
• Must be able to demonstrate leadership and coaching skills.
• Effective communication (written and oral) and organization skills are essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills – be able to recognize areas that need improvement in work.
• Can coordinate multiple project tasks.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of established engineering design principles and methods.
• Experience with nuclear retube tooling preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
• Experienced in nuclear laboratory operation preferred.
