Commercial and Supply Chain Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial and Supply Chain Manager for one of our iconic projects which is in Riyadh, KSA. This role reports to the Director of Operations.

The Commercial and Supply Chain Manager will work to identify, develop and implement strategies, contracts and processes for the outsourcing of services within a dynamic contract with potential to expand to multiple contracts. The role includes support of a busy logistics and warehouse service and is expected to support and operate systems including though not limited to SAP and JDE. As Manager, will provide leadership, guidance and direction to team members, interact with key operational staff to communicate on competitive initiatives, and report to the Senior Manager regarding regional activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Management of the Procurement and Supply chain up to delivery across all procured goods and services.
• Co-ordination of all procurement activities for a dynamic and fast-moving procurement service for daily, contractual and as-required expenditures.
• Coordination of all activities related to the issuance of Service contracts at a project level, assisting in establishing supplier / proposal evaluation criteria including business partner compliance due diligence, providing direction or aiding in the management of competitive bidding process, leading or participating in negotiations with suppliers, recommending contract awards, and providing guidance pertaining to the management of new supplier transitions.
• Identification of opportunities for cost reduction through contract improvements, contract consolidation and the potential for inclusion of additional services in the outsourcing portfolio.
• Facilitating contract review meetings with suppliers and operations teams to measure supplier performance against Key Performance Indicators and to identify opportunities for service improvements.
• Providing support on national competitive bids and corporate strategies and coordinating reciprocal feedback between Strategic Procurement and the Operational Clients.
• Providing ongoing support and training as required to all direct reports on procurement policies, processes and contract management.
• Gain a thorough understanding of SNC-Lavalin O&M’s procurement policy and provide procurement process training across all Strategic Client Units
• Respond to quality management issues and supplier performance concerns.
• Manage all human resource administration for direct reports, including but not limited to the establishment of annual objectives and performance management.
   

Qualifications and Years' of Experience

• A University Degree/College Diploma is required.
• Over 10 Years relevant experience preferably in Facility Management or Warehousing
• A CPP designation and additional training in areas related to supply chain management is preferred.
• Experience in the commercial real estate or other services industries is preferred.
• Solid working knowledge with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience working with SAP, JD Edwards is essential. Work on other ERP solutions may also be considered.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, leadership and negotiation skills are required, as well as strong delegation and time management skills, with excellent initiative and follow-up capabilities.
• Strong people management skills with the ability to provide guidance and development. Bilingualism (Arabic and English) is an asset.
