About Great Place to Work®

Great Place to Work® are a global authority on building, sustaining and recognizing High-Trust, High-Performance Culture TM at workplaces. More than 1,0000 organizations across over 60 countries undergo a Great Place to Work® assessment every year. So, for the GTC and Shared Services teams to achieve this for a second time is a testament to the great culture and ethos embedded in the company.

As part of the Great Place to Work certification, our teams across India were assessed on a range of areas including a trust index analysis and culture audit. This included surveying employees about their thoughts on areas such as respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie at work. Other key areas of assessment included leadership, meaningful values, and demonstrating a deep foundation of trust with all employees across the organization.

In addition, we are very proud that for the first time this year, we went through a Workplace Inclusion Index™ assessment, to achieve accreditation as a Workplace with Inclusive Practices. This index attempts to understand if different communities in the workplace experience a barrier-free and bias-free environment by evaluating people practices and employee feedback.

At Atkins, we weave equality, diversity and inclusion into everything we do.

A proud achievement thanks to our people

Philip Hoare, President, Engineering Services, UK & Europe, Middle East, India and Canada said “It was a joy to visit India again and see that the culture of collaboration, ambition and fun that our colleagues there exude every day has been maintained and even strengthened despite the global pandemic. The work that has been done on ED&I is particularly impressive and showcases some true examples of best practices, which we could all learn from. Congratulations to everyone across all our Indian offices, this is a very well-deserved achievement and something you should be proud of.”

Bharat Gala, Senior Vice-President, India, said “Congratulations everyone, I am so proud of our achievement. I credit you all with creating an exemplary team here in India, with talent, passion and a diverse set of skills and capabilities. I truly believe that we have created a great place to work for all and I am pleased to see this has been officially recognized for another year. Let us sustain and strengthen this inclusive and innovative culture as we continue to grow.”

Somnath Bhagavatula, Vice-President, Human Resources, Asia Pacific, said “I would like to thank everyone for their contributions to achieving this certification. It is the people that make our culture so special, so this official recognition is down to each and every person working here in India.”
