Insights What do you do in an urban planner job?

What is urban planning?

Urban planning is the term used to describe the design and development of towns and cities.

The concept of urban planning is becoming increasingly prevalent around the world as we look for new and improved ways to live. Masdar City, located in Abu Dhabi, is one example of this.

As the ‘greenprint’ for future cities, it offers the region a template for sustainable urban development. Buildings consume 40% less energy, and power demand is offset by the use of rooftop solar panels and an on-site solar power plant, an impressive feat.

Are you ready to shape sustainable and innovative urban environments and contribute to a brighter and more efficient future? AtkinsRéalis offers exciting urban planner positions.
