How will you contribute to the team?

Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the incumbent will conduct financial reporting entries relating to a specific long-term government contract.

To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Processes and prepares client and supplier invoices; troubleshoots and resolves issues.
  • Tracks overdue receivables and ensures timely receipt of all amounts owing.
  • Reviews all cheque processing and fund transfers.
  • Creates and prepares monthly finance and accounting reports.
  • Processes and prepares GST/HST/PST submissions.
  • Prepares and submits subcontractors’ payment reports.
  • Prepares monthly account reconciliations and resolve any outstanding items.
  • Supports our Operations personnel and respond to any ad-hoc requests from them.

    What will you contribute?

  • A CPA or CPA candidate with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • A strong knowledge of MS-Office, particularly Excel
  • Comfortable with ERP systems and knowledge of J.D. Edwards, in particular, is an asset
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis skills required
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skills
