As part of our regional growth plans, we are currently looking for an Architect to join the Concept design team in Dubai, UAE.

    Responsibilities

    • Developed architectural design skills and understanding of the design process and interfaces between design disciplines.

    • Extensive project experience.

    • Excellent communication skills.

    • Flexibility of attitude towards company objectives.

    • Understanding of scope definition and scope interface.

    • Excellent presentation skills.

    • Full knowledge of Statutory Authorities requirements, knowledge of codes, regulations and submission requirements. 

    • Developed knowledge of Fire & Life Safety Principles.

    • Developed knowledge of Sustainable Design principles.

    • Ability and will to mentor and provide support to junior staff members and spread knowledge across the wider architectural community.

    • Ability and will to update knowledge.

    • Develop a thorough design philosophy, effectively contributing to the inception and the development of a project.

    • Lead the design work ensuring project objectives are met, design instructions are implemented and delivery is achieved within the set time and budget.

    • Responsible for the correctness, accuracy and complete multi-disciplinary coordination of the design documentation prepared by the assigned team.

    • Responsible, for the preparation and compilation of design presentations and design reports.

    Core Accountabilities:

    • Architectural Design and planning.

    • Client Interface.

    • Design Coordination.

    • Interface with Statutory Authorities.

    • Design research.

    • Site back-up.

    Requirements

    • B.Arch or B.Sc in Architecture.

    • Minimum 5+ years post qualification experience (UAE/ KSA experience preferred)

    • Be a registered member of an accredited RIBA or ARB

    • High proficiency in: Rhino, Grasshopper, Sketchup, 3dsmax, Revit, Auto Cad, Photoshop, Indesign

    • Graphic skills are a must (Adobe package)

    Qualities & Skills

    • Talent and experienced in working on the design process during the concept/ Schematic designs stages

    • Experience of working in a recognised global/ design offices in Middle East

    • Capable of leading large scale projects in Hospitality, Mixed use, Residential, commercial and High rise.

    • Excellent design and technical capabilities

    • Proficiency in Rhino + Grasshopper

    • Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT, word processing and Adobe InDesign/ illustrator/ photoshop.

    • Self motivated and able to take responsibility

    • Flexible attitude and works well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently

    • Excellent organisational skills

    • Able to build good relationships at all levels internally and externally

    • Resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritise duties and work effectively under pressure while remaining calm and professional at all times.

    • Ability to understand and formulate design decisions and present for discussion

    • Ability to use a variety of media in the development and documentation of a design project
