Atkins seeks an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our Architecture group in Austin, TX as a QA/QC Manager.


Job Duties:

Performs work which involves conventional practice, but may include a variety of complex features, such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials or procedures, or difficult coordination requirements.

Independently solves problems encountered.

Writes reports and specifications.

Produces a code review report.

Supervises the preparation of architectural plans; checks plans, estimates and calculations.

Consults manufacturers, evaluates and selects materials, and inspects architectural features of structures in the field.

Produces a complete set of coordinated and quality control verified construction documents in accordance with Building Information Modeling (BIM) execution plan.

Assists in the management of projects.

Develops or reviews estimates of hours and verifies adequateness.

Performs work within hours allocated and completes work on schedule.

Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.


Qualifications:

Quality Assurance experience required.
  Basic programming understanding.   Exceptional analytic and problem-solving skills are required.   Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills and the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences.   Should have good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.   Limited travel to client sites may be required.
  Education and Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture. Typical incumbent has six to ten years’ experience.


Professional Registrations:
  Registration as a licensed architect is required.
