The Commercial Business Unit at AtkinsRéalis Nuclear is looking for individuals who will excel in the co-ordination and administration of project assignment conditions contracts and other commercial / legal documentation.


Reporting to the Commercial/Contracts Director, this role is an opportunity for an individual with strong interpersonal skills who is motivated to play an important part in the continued and sustained growth of the AtkinsRéalis Nuclear Business.


The primary focus of the role is to with with the Project Managers and Resource Managers to co-ordinate and administer the staff assignment conditions contracts for all staff deployed on Projects.    You will have access to confidential information and will work within the established framework in place under the existing Collective Agreements.

This role will be based in Mississauga, ON.

Your role within the Team:

  • Act as process owner for Assignment Conditions:
     
    • Acting as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all assignment conditions related matters for the business, you will own the process, ensuring a consistent approach in management of assignment conditions.
    • Ensure timely management of the central mailbox to ensure that Assignment Conditions are put in place to meet project demands.
    • Liaison with the Employees, their Management, and the Project to finalize all agreements.
    • With support from the Director, provide directions/recommendations to business on the application of assignment conditions by maintaining consistency in the way they are managed also ensuring the contractual provisions are followed.
    • With support from the Director, pro-actively identify any potential contract changes or deviations to the agreed terms and conditions, propose and formulate solutions.
    • Proactively promote continuous process improvements to increase efficiency in management of assignment conditions in collaboration with various key stakeholders.
    • Lead, monitor (include cost impact), report, and control the assignment conditions process for employees represented by the Society of Professional Engineers and Associates (SPEA).
    • Collaborate with human resources, projects, finance, and other functional teams to prepare and review domestic and international assignment conditions and provide training to various stakeholders on the application of the conditions.
    • Interface with employees to address any questions on the interpretation of assignment conditions.

  • Provide administrative support to the legal/commercial team (records / document management).
  • Co-ordinate and manage use of document management systems for the Commercial Team (MS Teams, SharePoint, Aconex)
  • Support commercial team co-ordination (meetings / events / action tracking)
  • Perform other related activities as required by management.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • College graduate degree.
  • A minimum of five to ten years of related experience preferred.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Experience in the use of Office 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, SharePoint) and other bespoke document management
  • Collaborative team player with demonstrated professional and emotional maturity and judgment to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy, tact, and high ethical standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work through and solve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and tight timelines.
  • Attention to detail.
