We are looking for Assistant Designer to join our team. This role will be based at our Atkins office in Bangalore, IN.
How will you contribute to the team?
To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Perform inspections, dimensional and damage surveys on existing structures.
- Carry out the design of plans and technical drawings in the field of structures, bridges and engineering structures.
- Provide technical support to project managers and stakeholders involved.
- Monitor, control and inspect construction and repair projects.
- Write technical and descriptive specifications.
- Perform quantity calculations and estimates.
- Perform any other duties related to the nature of these functions.
What will you contribute?
Mandatory Requirements
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in the field of bridges and engineering structures, an asset.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD & Revit Structures.
- Fluency in French (spoken and written).
- Demonstrated teamwork skills.
- Concerned about health and safety.
Desirable Requirements
- Working experience in Revit, CADS-RC, Civil3D, OpenRoads, NavisWorks, Infraworks, MicroStation and AutoCAD Software.
- Knowledge of ProjectWise or any other EDMS software.
- Knowledge of RC detailing software like Tekla, Bentley Rebar and SuperCAD.
- Experience in steel detailing would be an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge in BS, EURO codes as well as UK, US & ME CAD/BIM standards.
- Working experience on Canada projects would be an added advantage.
Additional Information (if any)
- Selected candidates will be given opportunities to progress towards professional accreditation from one of the UK professional institutions.
- Willingness to relocate in India or abroad for short durations would be an advantage.
