Our Programme Advisory team:

We have had significant success in the infrastructure market over the last year which has meant that we are now one of the fastest growing parts of the organisation and have ambitious plans to grow even faster in the next few years. We have built a Programme Advisory business unit which continues to go strength to strength. On the back of this success, we are now investing significantly in our people and to bring in the right talent to join our team.

The advisory team supports our Complex Infrastructure clients’ sectors in setting up, assessing and transforming some of the largest and complex programmes in UK and beyond, whether shaping, delivering, assessing, enabling or intervening.

This role is for someone who is passionate about working across multiple industry sectors and some of the most high-profile complex programmes within the UK, to help influence and deliver alongside our major clients. You will be enthusiastic about working with multi-disciplinary teams, in different client environments and facing challenges.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work across various programmes, with the support of some of the most experienced teams across the global AtkinsRéalis business, to develop your own growth journey.

We are actively looking for a Programme Advisory Principal Consultant / Associate Director with experience in Energy and / or Defence sectors preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to working across the programme lifecycle to setup and deliver within major transformational projects/programmes and PMOs.
  • Assurance and assessments of programmes, PMOs and project controls capabilities and maturity.
  • Develop and document effective processes and guidance for programme teams and PMOs e.g. PMO Handbooks or similar.
  • Deliver strategic advisory services including business transformations, organisation design, portfolio design and management, improving programme efficiencies and performance, etc.
  • Effective Stakeholder Management and Communication skills. The ability to tailor the message and liaise directly with the required client or audience including facilitating multi-media workshops (in person, virtual or hybrid) with stakeholders from the top to the bottom of organisations.
  • Logical thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Pro-active with high personal motivation and drive, able to work and thrive in and deliver high quality advice/solutions in complex and ever-changing environments.
  • Demonstrable evidence of leading change initiatives and achieving tangible/successful results within ambiguous environments.
  • Able to comprehend, analyse and compare programme and portfolio strategy, operational models, processes and systems through the programme lifecycle and, or have specific discipline specialisms.
  • Lead commission teams or work alone to design, develop and implement improvements, change or transformations to clients’ ways of working.
  • Have a commercial awareness and be able to proactively manage commercial demands.
  • Relevant professional certification(s) – e.g. APM PMQ/PPQ/ChPP; MoP; MSP; PRINCE2, P3O, PROSCI, Lean, Six Sigma.
