About the Role:
- We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic self-starter to join our team as an Automation Engineer.
- The role is required to support the delivery of multi-organizational integration, end to end process automation projects and enterprise data-warehouse (including MDM, ODS and historic, modelled data).
- The ideal candidate will be an experienced automation/integration engineer with a software development background, who enjoys optimizing systems as well as building them from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- The position holder will support our engineers, automation architects and analysts on initiatives and will ensure the optimal delivery architecture is applied throughout ongoing and future projects.
- As a staff engineer you should have a strategic understanding of company priorities and make technical decisions to solve business problems.
- You are expected to lead on engagements with various stakeholders for deep, complex, or high-risk technical projects and control the communication around them.
- Support the organization by providing context and technical direction, contributing towards technical specifications, and helping document processes.
- Design, develop, simulate, and test the automation/integration tasks leveraging the enterprise scale integration tools in the Azure tech stack and Microsoft Systems Centre Orchestrator.
- Manage, review, monitor and report the status the services that provides automation/integration services for the organisation.
- Act as the escalation point for all associated incidents to the service.
- Stay current with industry trends and developments, evaluating the new technologies and implementing where required.
- Plan and implement technology upgrades, maintenance, and fixes.
- Experience Level: 8 to 12 years
Primary/Mandatory Skills:
- PowerShell
- TSQL
- Highly Desired Skill:
- System Centre Orchestrator
- Good working knowledge of REST API, SOAP/XML
- Experience in working with Active Directory and associated management tools.
- Familiar with other Microsoft system centre products e.g. SCCM.
Desired Skills:
- Azure Active Directory
- Experiences with on-premises SQL services: SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services.
- A successful history of using DevOps best practises including backlog management, Source Control (Git), Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) with Azure DevOps.
- Experiences with Finance/HR ERP’s (Workday, Oracle, etc.), a plus.
- Power-BI.
