Job Title: CAD Technician / Designer

We are looking for an enthusiastic CAD Technician with Gernam speaking skills to join our Chennai team.

He / She will assist the Engineering teams with the creation of engineering drawings typically using Autocad.

What will you do?

• Works with engineers by creating drawings for high voltage substations based on their specifications, using detailed knowledge of standard drafting guidelines.
• Keeps track of changes/comments noted on one document to ensure that these are also coordinated in other affected documents.
• Technical leadership and knowledge sharing to CAD Trainees/junior CAD Technicians
• Technical contribution in primary & secondary document preparation.
• Preparing BoQ from Drawings.
• Civil and Electrical Layout drawings coordination to resolve interface issues together with Lead Engineer/Civil Engineer/PM etc.

Experience and Education Required:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience. History of working on utility projects in Germany is a plus.
• AUTOCAD specialist with experience of working in both 2D & 3D drawings.
• Bachelor or Diploma with Electrical/Civil engineering background.
• Fluency in German & English–written and spoken.
• Availability to travel 10% of the time (domestic/international travel).  
• Working from home, office and on a Site.
