Civil Structural FEM Analysis Specialist

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a fully qualified Structural Engineer for our Vancouver civil group. 

 

Location – Vancouver (BC)  

 

Your role within the team? 

  • Prepare and review of calculations, drawings, and specifications relating to Hydraulic structures. 

  • Perform finite element analysis (FEA) for various structural components and systems. 

  • Collaborate with the design team to integrate finite analysis into the structural design process. 

  • Evaluate structural integrity and performance under different loading conditions. 

  • Provide insights into structural behavior and recommend design modifications for optimization. 

  • Propose innovative solutions based on finite analysis insights. 

  • Poses strong communication skills to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.

The ideal candidate: 

  • An engineering degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (master or PhD degree is desirable) with minimum 5 years of experience in FEA, EGBC P. Eng, or eligible for registration)   

  • Proven experience in structural engineering with a focus on finite element analysis. 

  • In-depth knowledge of structural engineering principles and theories. 

  • Proficiency in using industry-standard finite element analysis software (ANSYS, ABAQUS, LS-DYNA, SAP2000). 

  • Experience in modeling seismic soli-structure-water interaction analysis is advantageous. 

 

Compensation Range:  

Expected compensation for this role is between $71,300 - $118,800 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, location, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
